Osborn Maledon attorney Bill Hardin honored for community work

Bill Hardin, co-leader of Osborn Maledon’s business practice, today received the Distinguished Walter E. Craig Award from the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services and Education. The award is given to the attorney “who has manifested adherence to the highest principles and tradition of the legal profession and service to the public in the community in which he lives.”

Hardin concentrates his legal practice primarily on representing entrepreneurial clients in business transactions and corporate governance matters.

A diverse group of 20 lawyers, judges, and community leaders sent nominations for Hardin that praised him as being extraordinarily committed to making Arizona a better place to live. The Foundation noted, “Hardin is not someone who is just active in his community, he is the one spearheading multiple initiatives to make our state and county better.”

Among those commitments, the Foundation said, nominees, noted that Hardin is an active leader in community projects focusing on economic development, education, housing, and human rights. He was a founding member of the Arizona Human Rights Fund, now known as Equality Arizona; he served as co-chair of the Governor’s Council on Innovation and Technology and as a director of the Arizona Economic Resource Organization. He currently serves on the boards of the Grand Canyon Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Human Services Campus.
