Osborn Maledon P.A. announces new partner, Kim Demarchi
Kim Demarchi has joined Osborn Maledon, P.A., as a partner, where she represents public, private, and non-profit clients in civil appeals and public law matters. She also draws on her litigation experience to assist parties in resolving their disputes outside of court through alternative dispute resolution proceedings. She formerly was a partner with Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie LLP.
A native of Tucson, Ms. Demarchi received bachelor of science degrees in history and political science from Arizona State University’s Honors College and her law degree from Yale Law School. Before entering private practice, she clerked for Arizona Supreme Court Justice Ruth McGregor and for Judge Mary Schroeder, chief judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
She is widely involved in both community and bar association programs addressing access to justice, public policy, and professional responsibility. Ms. Demarchi serves on the Board of the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services and Education, is an attorney coordinator for the Pro Bono Program of the Arizona Court of Appeals, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers. She is a long-time member of the State Bar’s Rules of Professional Conduct Committee, which she chaired, and has been appointed to multiple commitees and task forces charged with making recommendations regarding access to justice, court rules and procedures, and lawyer ethics. She chairs the Advisory Council of the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Election Law, is an active member of the American Law Institute and the Arizona Town Hall, and was in the inaugural class of the Flinn-Brown Civic Leadership Academy. She teaches and speaks regularly on topics of appellate practice, election law and constitutional law.
