John Blanchard focuses his practice on employment litigation, employment counseling, and business litigation. John has significant experience litigating emergency relief matters, including provisional remedy and preliminary injunction matters and cases involving trade-secret misappropriation and the enforceability of non-competition restrictions. John also serves as a Judge Pro Tem for the Maricopa County Superior Court.
Before joining Osborn Maledon, John was a judicial clerk for the Honorable William C. Canby, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. John graduated Order of the Coif and fourth in his class from Arizona State University College of Law in 1998. Upon graduation, John received, among numerous other awards, the prestigious John S. Armstrong Law Prize, an award selected by the faculty for the most outstanding law graduate. During law school, John served as the Editor-in-Chief for the Arizona State Law Journal and was deemed the "best oralist" for the 1997-1998 National Moot Court Team regional competition. John earned his Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing in 1992 from the University of Arizona.
John balances a busy law practice with spending time with his family-- his wife, Kristin, and his two young children. John also enjoys hiking, traveling, scuba diving, and skiing, among other interests.
