Governor Ducey appoints new judges to Arizona Court of Appeals (10/4/2017)

The Governor’s office recently announced the appointment of several new judges to the Arizona Court of Appeals.

Division One

On September 29, Governor Ducey appointed Jennifer M. Perkins and James B. Morse Jr. to Division One.  Before being appointed, Judge Perkins was Assistant Solicitor General for Arizona.  Judge Morse was Section Chief at the U.S. Attorney’s Office.  They will fill the vacancies left by Judge Kessler and Judge Norris.  The Governor’s press release can be found here.

The new appointees join fellow recent appointees to Division One, Maria Elena Cruz and Jennifer Campbell.  Judge Cruz joined Division One following her service as presiding judge of Yuma County Superior Court.  Before her appointment to Division One, Judge Campbell was a judge on the Yavapai County Superior Court.  The Governor’s press release about Judge Cruz and Judge Campbell is here.

Division Two

On September 20, Governor Ducey appointed Sean Brearcliffe to Division Two.  Before being appointed to the Court of Appeals, Judge Brearcliffe was a judge on the Pima County Superior Court.  He will fill the vacancy left by Judge Miller.  The Governor’s press release can be found here.

On July 20, Governor Ducey appointed Karl Eppich to Division Two.  Before being appointed, Judge Eppich was a judge on the Pinal County Superior Court.  He will fill the vacancy left by Judge Howard.  The Governor’s press release can be found here.

We welcome Judges Perkins, Morse, Cruz, Campbell, Brearcliffe, and Eppich to the Court of the Appeals.
