August 7, 2017

Osborn Maledon partner Mary O’Grady was named to Benchmark Top 250 Women in Litigation 2017, the only Arizona attorney recognized. The ranking of “the most distinguished women in the world of litigation: was made after extensive client and peer interviews, Benchmark said. A former Arizona solicitor general, she recently completed her term as defense counsel for the Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission.

O’Grady focuses her practice on appeals, civil litigation, and administrative law.

Benchmark noted that it was recognizing her “for her expertise on public law issues, most notably representing the state of Arizona and public officials in both state and federal court.”

Benchmark added: “These women have earned their place amongst the leading female litigators by participating in some of the most impactful litigation matters in recent history as well as by earning the hard-won respect of their peers and clients.”

O’Grady also is experienced in election and campaign finance law, the Voting Rights Act, State Constitutional law, government contracts, state legislation, open meeting, and public records laws, redistricting, and school finance, Benchmark said.

The 2017 Top 250 Women in Litigation guide honors top female litigators in all 50 states and the District of Columbia for their achievements in their field. The women trial lawyers chosen for the guide were selected from their state’s roster of local litigation stars featured in the latest edition of Benchmark Litigation, the only publication on the U.S. legal market that focuses exclusively on litigation.
