For over thirty years, Osborn Maledon lawyers have been actively involved in providing antitrust counseling and litigation services to our clients.

Our lawyers are frequently called upon to counsel clients in a variety of contexts where antitrust issues may arise, such as distribution arrangements, joint ventures, licensing agreements, competitive and pricing policies, and mergers and acquisitions.

We have also had substantial involvement in a majority of the significant antitrust and trade regulation cases here in Arizona and throughout the U.S.

Our lawyers' experience in defending such cases has included:

  • representing a number of internationally known companies in defending against indirect purchaser class actions brought under state antitrust laws;
  • representing a manufacturer of lime products in antitrust litigation brought by a contractor;
  • representing a manufacturer of electronics components in antitrust litigation brought by a competitor;
  • representing a software firm in antitrust litigation brought by the U.S. Department of Justice seeking to enjoin an acquisition;
  • representing a manufacturer of aircraft engines in antitrust litigation brought by a service center;
  • representing one of the nation's leading manufacturers of high-tech polymer products in defense of a complicated set of antitrust and unfair competition claims;
  • representing a leading producer of premium pet food products in antitrust litigation challenging the pricing and promotional programs of the four major suppliers of such products;
  • representing a major professional sports entity in defense of a variety of antitrust and other trade regulation claims;
  • defending a large Japanese manufacturer of electronics products in a billion dollar antitrust and unfair dealing claim;
  • representing a national broadcasting company in defense of unfair competition claims and alleged violations of the Lanham Act;
  • defending one of the country's largest corporations in a suit involving antitrust claims brought by terminated dealers; and
  • representing one of the country's largest building products suppliers in defense of a billion dollar, multidistrict, class action antitrust suit in which the firm served as liaison counsel for all defendants.

Several members of the firm have been active in the antitrust and trade regulation sections of the State Bar of Arizona and the American Bar Association and have participated in numerous antitrust and trade regulation programs sponsored by the State Bar, the ABA and various other organizations.
