Overview

Oscar draws on his extensive experience in negotiating high-stakes service and technology contracts for Fortune 500 companies to establish strong foundations for success in early-stage start-ups. His practice serves a diverse array of corporate clients, with a particular focus on emerging markets such as technology, artificial intelligence, LLMs, and privacy and data security. With a keen understanding of the startup ecosystem, Oscar translates his astute business sense into an empathetic approach to counseling entrepreneurs from initial financing to successful business exits. 

He focuses on representing businesses throughout the life cycle of their enterprise, with expertise in mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property licensing and commercialization, data privacy and protection, and comprehensive day-to-day general counsel services.

Before joining Osborn Maledon, Oscar honed his skills at an AmLaw 100 firm, where he developed a deep expertise in commercial transactions. His prior role as an in-house paralegal endowed him with a profound commitment to client service, enabling him to anticipate needs and formulate sound legal strategies that support effective business operations. 

Oscar is a graduate of The George Washington University School of Law and an active member of several associations, including The National LGBTQ+ Bar Association and the Hispanic National Bar Association. His leadership and contributions to corporate law have been recognized by the Phoenix Business Journal as a NextGen Leader and by Best Lawyers® as “Ones to Watch” in corporate law for five consecutive years.
