Osborn Maledon is delighted to welcome our 2025 class of exceptionally talented Summer Associates. We look forward to a summer of learning, growth, and remarkable achievements together.
Our summer program offers high achievers the chance to collaborate closely with our team, immersing themselves in the firm’s unique culture and experiencing firsthand what it means to be a lawyer here at Osborn Maledon. This exceptional opportunity allows them to gain a deep understanding of our firm’s values and operations. We select our Summer Associates based on a rigorous process that considers a diverse range of criteria, including academic excellence, work and leadership experience, strong communication skills, and community service.
This summer, we are proud to welcome six exceptional J.D. candidates from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University and University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law: Hannah Bernier, Robert Corridan, Benjamin Hall, Andrea Jones, Anna Sallas, and Elizabeth Zipp-Seng.
Hannah Bernier is a rising 3L at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, where she is an O’Connor Honors Program Fellow. She currently serves as a Note & Comment Editor for the Arizona State Law Journal and has earned CALI Awards in several courses, including Appellate Advocacy, Legal Method & Writing, Criminal Law, and Criminal Procedure. Prior to law school, Hannah was a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Portugal. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin with a dual degree in International Relations and Iberian and Latin American Languages and Cultures. A fun fact about Hannah is that she has walked two variations of the Camino de Santiago in Spain and Portugal.
Robert Corridan is a rising 3L at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. He has received the Sandra Day O’Connor Fellowship and is a member of the Arizona State Law Journal. Robert is a graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering & Mathematics, where he achieved recognition on the Dean’s List from 2019-2023. While a student at Purdue, he worked as a Teaching Assistant and interned in an analyst role with The Canadian National Railway. A fun fact about Robert is he loves writing crosswords and recently had one of his published in the New York Times.
Benjamin Hall is a rising 3L at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. He was named a Pedrick Scholar for three consecutive semesters and brings a strong foundation in public interest and consumer protection law. Prior to law school, Benjamin earned his B.A. in Business Law from ASU as a Barrett, The Honors College, graduate. His legal experience includes externships at the Arizona Attorney General’s Office in the Consumer Protection and Advocacy Division and the Arizona Center for Law in the Public Interest, where he conducted legal research, drafted memoranda, and assisted with litigation preparation. As he transitions into his third year of law school, Benjamin will serve as a Note & Comment Editor on the Arizona State Law Journal, and upon graduation, he will clerk for The Honorable Andrew Jacobs at the Arizona Court of Appeals. Benjamin is an avid runner and volleyball player. When he is not hiking with friends, he is probably on the pickleball court or playing the guitar.
Andrea Jones is a rising 2L at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law. She will serve as a Writing Fellow and an Ares Fellow in the fall and earned CALI awards for several first-year courses, as well as awards for legal writing and oral advocacy. Andrea has a background in investigative journalism, most recently serving as a Senior Editor at The Intercept, where her work focused on criminal justice and civil rights. She also previously worked as an employment law paralegal supporting wage-and-hour litigation. A fun fact about Andrea is that she is a trained wilderness first responder.
Anna Sallas is a rising 2L at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. She was named a Willard H. Pedrick Scholar for Fall 2024 and is an active member of the Chicano Latino Law Student Association. Anna is a graduate of Northern Arizona University with a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Law. Prior to law school, Anna interned at the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, where she supported litigation preparation by conducting research on election law and clemency matters. She also served as a policy intern at the Arizona State Senate, drafting bill summaries, researching legislation to brief state senators, and conducting stakeholder outreach. Anna has additional experience as a teaching assistant for World Philosophy at Northern Arizona University and worked in customer service roles while completing her education. A fun fact about Anna is that she is passionate about music and has had six years of vocal lessons.
Elizabeth (Liz) Zipp-Seng is a rising 3L J.D. candidate at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University where she is a William H. Pedrick Scholar. Liz was a Teach for America grant recipient (2011), which led her to spend over a decade working in public education in Arizona as a teacher and academic coach prior to entering law school. Liz is a certified Reading Specialist, and she holds three Master’s Degrees in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, and Educational Administration. Liz also completed her Ph.D., which focused on a quantitative analysis of public school financing across the state of Arizona. She has received numerous awards and recognitions including multiple school district teaching excellence awards; the Arizona Cardinals Teacher Excellence Award (2015); and the People Magazine All-Star Teacher Award (2014). Liz is a mom to a three-year-old and almost one-year-old twins, who have joined her on her law school journey. A fun fact about Liz is that she loves racing in long-distance triathlons and ultra-running events and is always training for her next race!
