In Memoriam – Mark I. Harrison

We regret to announce that our partner and colleague, Mark Harrison, passed away on January 11, 2021. We had the privilege of working with Mark at Osborn Maledon for more than 15 years. We will miss his intellect, kindness, humor, and good nature. 

Mark’s legal career spanned more than six decades. His practice focused on commercial litigation, legal and judicial ethics, professional responsibility, alternative dispute resolution, and appellate work. He was passionate about equal access to justice, judicial independence, and many other issues. Throughout his career, Mark helped numerous clients whom he believed had been wronged, often without charging a fee. Incredibly, Mark’s passion for the law and the people with whom he worked continued long after most of his peers had retired. Just a few years ago, Mark was elected to the State Bar of Arizona Board of Governors, returning to the organization for which he served as President in 1975. He donated his time to many boards and commissions throughout his career, in Arizona and nationally. Ultimately, he touched the lives of countless people in a positive way and embodied the best the legal profession has to offer. 

But above all, Mark loved his family, including his wife Ellen, his daughters Lisa and Jill, and his grandchildren. Rest in peace, our friend.
